Uncommon Education Trading ("UET," "we," "us," or "our") respects your privacy and is committed to protecting your personal information. This Privacy Policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding that data when you use our Platform at uncommoneducationtrading.com and the UET Trading Hub application.

2 Information We Collect

Account Information: When you sign in, we store your email address and the timestamp it was verified. Access tier is derived from your Stripe subscription status, linked by email. We use this to manage your access and personalize your experience.

Brokerage Data: If you connect a brokerage account (Schwab or Tradier), we access account balances, positions, and trade execution data as needed to operate the Auto Bot and Follow Trade services. We do not store your brokerage login credentials, authentication is handled via secure OAuth tokens provided by the brokerages.

Trade Data: Trades logged in the Trade Tracker, trade history, performance analytics, and strategy data you input are stored in our database.

Payment Information: Payment processing is handled entirely by Stripe. We do not store credit card numbers or payment details on our servers. Stripe may collect billing information in accordance with their own privacy policy.

Usage Data: We may collect general usage data such as pages visited, features used, and session duration to improve the Platform.

3 How We Use Your Information

To authenticate your identity and manage access to paid features
To execute trades on your behalf via connected brokerage accounts
To display account balances, P&L, and trading analytics
To process subscription payments and manage billing
To provide customer support and communicate important updates
To improve the Platform, fix bugs, and develop new features

4 Third-Party Services

We integrate with the following third-party services that may process your data:

Postmark, Transactional email delivery for magic-link sign-in
Stripe, Payment processing and subscription management
Charles Schwab, Brokerage account access for Auto Bot trading
Tradier, Brokerage account access for Follow Trade copy trading
OpenAI, AI features (Jarvis assistant) for trading analysis

Each third-party service operates under its own privacy policy. We encourage you to review their policies. We share only the minimum data necessary for each service to function.

5 Cookies & Sessions

We use session cookies to maintain your authenticated state while using the Platform. These cookies are:

Secure, Transmitted only over HTTPS
HttpOnly, Not accessible via JavaScript
SameSite: Lax, Protected against cross-site request forgery
Session duration, 24 hours

We also use localStorage in your browser to store UI preferences (such as risk disclaimer acceptance). No tracking cookies or third-party analytics cookies are used.

6 Data Security

We take reasonable measures to protect your data, including:

HTTPS/TLS encryption for all data in transit
Secure OAuth token-based authentication for brokerage connections
Server-side access controls and rate limiting
Regular security reviews and updates

However, no method of electronic transmission or storage is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security of your data.

7 Data Retention

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. Trade data logged in the Trade Tracker is retained until you request deletion. Brokerage OAuth tokens are refreshed periodically and revoked when you disconnect your account. If you cancel your subscription, your data may be retained for up to 90 days before deletion.

8 Your Rights

You have the right to:

Access your personal data stored on our Platform
Correct inaccurate data associated with your account
Delete your account and associated data by contacting support
Disconnect your brokerage accounts at any time
Opt out of non-essential communications

9 Children's Privacy

The Platform is not intended for individuals under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from minors. If we become aware that we have collected data from a minor, we will take steps to delete it promptly.

10 Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. Continued use of the Platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
